There’s only one problem with compilation CD’s, and that is that there is never enough South African music on any of them.

It was with a great sense of excitement that I opened the brand new compilation CD from Rhythm Records entitled “South African Indie Volume 1”. As the title suggest it features the very best SA indie music, which in my opinion is where the heart and soul of SA music lives.

The compilation features both English and Afrikaans songs ranging from metal to blues to pop ballads, it’s all on here. Forget about mainstream music, if you want authentic SA music then you need to look no further than this compilation.
